If you are entering University for the first time or after a substantial break, you may want to consider one of our Access Programmes, which will give you a taste of university, make you familiar with the facilities and courses, and give you the confidence you need to progress to full or part-time study.
Evening Access Course
1st March 2004 - 30th April 2004
An access to university course runs on the Crichton Campus in semester two of
each academic session. The purpose of this course is to provide students with
the skills and confidence to consider degree level study as a full or part-time
student. The course is aimed at young and mature students who feel they would
benefit from an intensive introduction to higher level study. It provides students
with a taste of some of the subjects taught at university, along with a selection
of skills based classes. The course runs for six weeks and students normally
attend for two evenings per week. If you would like to receive further information
about the Access to University course please contact the Marketing & Recruitment
Office on (01387) 702075, or e-mail info@crichton.gla.ac.uk
Summer School
14th June - 23rd July 2004
A Pre-university Summer School runs on the Crichton Campus during June and July
each year, usually lasting for 6 weeks. The Summer School can be used to enhance
the qualifications you already have, as an access route if you have no recent
formal qualifications or simply as a taster of University life if you are unsure
about whether you are ready to embark on a degree course. Successful completion
of the summer school can guarantee a full or part-time place on any degree programme
offered by the University of Glasgow at the Crichton Campus. The course is open
to both school leavers and mature students. If you would like to receive further
information about the summer school please contact the Marketing & Recruitment
Office on (01387) 702075, or e-mail summer@crichton.gla.ac.uk
